UTJ Says “No” to Kadima Government

Radio Kol Chai reported on Sunday morning that the Degel HaTorah and Agudah factions of UTJ are in agreement and they will not be joining a Kadima-led coalition under the leadership of Tzipi Livni.

The UTJ officials are demanding a guarantee that such a government will not enter into negotiations towards making compromises on the future of Am Yisrael’s sovereignty over Yerushalayim.

With UTJ’s announcement, it becomes increasingly obvious that Premier-designate Livni will not be able to present a coalition government to President Peres that includes a majority of support in the 120-seat Knesset.
