Two Palestinian suspects were arrested overnight in coordinated intelligence-led raids after Israeli security forces alleged they used social media to incite terrorism, praise the October 7 massacre, and encourage attacks against Israel.

The arrests were carried out by officers from the Judea and Samaria District’s “Chetz Yehuda” tactical unit following intelligence gathered through online monitoring conducted by the IDF Central Command.

The first suspect was arrested around 4:00 a.m. at his home in the Palestinian village of Al-Majd. According to investigators, the suspect, who is allegedly affiliated with Hamas, used social media to incite violence against Israel and encourage terrorist attacks.

Among the material cited by investigators were posts praising the October 7 massacre, calls to violently seize Yerushalayim, and a Friday sermon titled “Why Palestine Is Ours,” in which he allegedly wrote that “our war with the Jews is a war of annihilation until the end.”

About an hour later, security forces arrested a second suspect, a 30-year-old resident of Dahariya, on similar allegations.

Police said his online posts praised Islamic Jihad terrorists for their actions during the October 7 massacre, glorified “martyrs,” and commended terrorist attacks carried out during Operation Guardian of the Walls, including Kornet anti-tank missile and rocket attacks against Israel. He also reportedly praised Abu Hamza, the spokesman for Islamic Jihad’s military wing, and compared him favorably to Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida.

Both suspects were transferred to the Hebron police station for further questioning and are expected to be brought before a court for hearings on extending their detention.
