IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said Sunday that the military is closely monitoring developments in Iran and maintaining a high level of readiness following the missile launch toward the Aqaba area.

“We are prepared to immediately resume combat and will act with great determination against anyone who harms us,” Zamir said during a situational assessment in the Judea and Samaria Division. He added that the IDF’s Aerial Defense Array remains on alert to protect Israeli civilians.

Zamir held the assessment together with Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, Technology and Logistics Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Rami Abudraham, Judea and Samaria Division commander Brig. Gen. Kobi Heller, and commanders of the regional brigades operating in the sector.

During the visit, commanders presented the operational picture in Judea and Samaria, including counterterrorism efforts, troop activity, and preparations for upcoming missions. Zamir praised the forces operating in the area and said their efforts have helped bring the number of terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria to one of the lowest levels seen in recent years.

The chief of staff also addressed nationalist crime, saying it harms both security and the communities themselves. He said the IDF would continue working with the ISA and Israel Police to eradicate the phenomenon.

Zamir stressed that while the military is preparing for possible multi-front combat, Judea and Samaria remains a constant operational priority requiring rapid responses to emerging threats while maintaining security and stability throughout the sector.
