Members of the far-left Standing Together movement held a protest at the headquarters of the Religious Zionism party in Shoham on Wednesday morning
The leftists, adorned with fake blood on their hands, arms, and shirts, sat on the ground and chanted: “Smotrich funds it, the settlers burn, the blood is on the hands of the government of blood,” and, “The suit won’t help—you legitimize terror here.”
Some of the protesters attempted to force their way into the building. Party employees were instructed to remain in their offices until police arrived.
The Religious Zionism Party said in a statement: “We are seeing the results on the ground of the incitement by Yair Golan and his allies, and of Gadi Eisenkot’s silence, against the settlers. We call on the police to investigate the incident and ensure the safety of political party employees in Israel. There is no place for violence in the political arena. Opposition leaders Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett, and Chili Tropper must condemn the violence of the far left, which is fueled by incitement against the settler community.”
