The British government has opened investigations into donors in the United Kingdom who transferred funds to several Chareidi yeshivos operating in Yehuda and Shomron, according to a report by i24 News.

Several British donors who supported institutions located beyond the Green Line have already been notified that investigations have been opened against them. The move comes amid Britain’s recognition of a Palestinian state and its prohibition on assistance to settlements.

The Association of Yeshivos and Seminaries for Foreign Students urgently appealed Wednesday to Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Education Minister Yoav Kisch, and Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, calling on them to intervene immediately.

The association warned that an expansion of the investigations could seriously damage fundraising efforts and the financing of yeshivos.

  1. It is so not Britain’s place to tell Israel about getting out of West Bank, just like Britain’s would be so miffed & irate if anyone so dared even hint that Britain’s must get out of Northern Ireland

  2. מדה כנגד מדה: The Zionist A-G and S.court stripped Yeshivas from charitable status, foreign states are now doing the same!

  3. I just know it as Eretz Yisroel, but doesn’t the entire Eretz Yisroel consists of Yehuda and Shomron?

YEMACH SH’MOM V’ZICHROM these farshultina europeans.

  4. The picture is of non-Hareidim. And relatively few Hareidim have yeshivos in any part of the West Bank other than Jerusalem. And the real Hareidim (i.e. the non-Zionists) tend to avoid living in the West Bank, though many do live in Jerusalem (which is not recognized as part of the Medinah by most countries).

With growing anti-Semitism, we should expect government bans on doing business with Israel, including investing in Israel or donating to charities in Israel. After almost 80 “good years”, Frum yidden (whether “modern” or “hareidi”) have to start getting ready for going back to being persecuted again.

Please leave the word Zionist out, it’s good old secular Jews. We have been having this problem since the days of the chaza”l, hence they added the bracha of vlamalshinim and has ZERO to do with zionism. This is all atzas hayetzer to somehow divert our love for zion (which I sure hope every observing Jew has). It’s the Satmar narrow minded people that connect everything to “Zionism”. Have they ever lived in a town where there are American reform communities? They hate the frum more than the secular Israelis (and they hate the “zionists”). Please stop this garbage, this is holding back the geula (see sefer Kuzari perek yud at the end).

  6. Will one of the kruma kep who called this “mida k’neged mida” please explain how making yeshivos and baalei tzdaka suffer is just retribution for the actions of the secular Israeli government?

  7. I’m sure I could give money to all sorts of fake Palestinian terrorist supporting causes and the UK would be nowhere to be found

  8. @an-israeli-chareidi
Both of those are barely over the Green Line – as opposed to the “Religious Zionist” settlements in the heart of the “West Bank” which is both hisgarus baUmos and (for practical reasons as well) extremely dangerous.
