A heartbreaking tragedy struck a prominent Israeli family over Shabbos when a 4-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool while vacationing with his family in Mexico.
The child, Shalom Seginer Z”L, was the son of Rav Assaf Seginer and Mrs. Rivka Seginer, and a grandson of HaRav Shalom Arush, Rosh Mosdos Chut Shel Chessed.
According to reports from Mexico following Shabbos, Shalom Z”L was with his family on a private vacation when he drowned in a swimming pool.
Local emergency personnel were rushed to the scene and performed prolonged resuscitation efforts in a desperate attempt to save his life. Tragically, despite their efforts, they were ultimately forced to pronounce the young child dead.
Arrangements are being made to bring the aron to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah. Details regarding the Levaya have not yet been announced and are expected to be released once arrangements are finalized.

My original post was lost. So here goes a brief review. As I mentioned in another place on this blog. I am not ח”ו blaming the victims of any tragedy. But we must, in addition of being Mispalel for our safety analyze a possible reason for most tragedies רח”ל occurring in the 2 months of Summer. One possible reason could be because most Religious Jews, both in the US & Israel live year round in urbanized areas. In the summer months we leave our familiar environment & enter a new, unfamiliar area. Where the roads are different in the country, with their twist & turns that are so different that the city streets & highways. Therefore we must redouble our efforts of being careful not to get ח”ו in a situation that could be dangerous…וה” ישמור צאתנו ובואנו לחיים ולשלום…!
