A special forces unit reportedly carried out an overnight raid in southern Gaza, capturing a senior Hamas police officer from his tent in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis before withdrawing toward the Yellow Line.
According to reports from Gaza, a force of approximately 15 to 20 operatives accompanied by dogs entered the area from Al-Shakoush, between southern Khan Younis and northern Rafah, at around 1:00 a.m.
The force reportedly raided the tent of Sabri Abd al-Aal, a senior officer in the Hamas police holding a rank equivalent to colonel. According to Abu Ali Express, members of the force were heard speaking Hebrew and asking about several individuals during the operation.
In addition to Abd al-Aal, the force reportedly detained Nashat Zaarab, an employee of the Al-Aqsa Committee security company.
After completing the operation and making the arrests, the force withdrew toward the Yellow Line.

Hamas hides among civilians, using their homes and even their tents as cover. This is a deliberate strategy to prolong conflict and increase civilian casualties. The focus must remain on dismantling Hamas’s infrastructure and leadership, wherever they attempt to conceal themselves.
