QUSRA PROPAGANDA EXPOSED: Israeli Spokesman Rejects Claims Of A Jewish “Siege”

Israeli public diplomacy advocate and Samaria resident Ezra Tubi is pushing back against international reports portraying the Palestinian village of Qusra as being under a Jewish “siege,” arguing that the claims are false and part of a broader propaganda campaign against Israel.

Speaking from a strategic hill overlooking the area, Tubi says the Jewish presence there is rooted both in the area’s historical significance and in security concerns. He points to Qusra’s response following the October 7 massacre, including a municipal announcement of a general strike honoring what it called the “heroic martyrs of Gaza,” as evidence that concerns over the area are not theoretical.

“This is one of the highest points in Samaria,” Tubi explains. “Whoever controls this hill controls the surrounding area.” He argues that expanding Arab construction in the area is part of a deliberate effort backed by hostile Arab countries and European governments.

Tubi says young Jewish residents established a presence on the hill to prevent what they viewed as a strategic takeover, and claims that since then livestock has been poisoned, explosive devices planted, and young Jews targeted in attempted lynchings.

Addressing the central allegation directly, Tubi rejects claims that Jewish residents imposed a “siege” on homes near Qusra.

“The media keeps repeating the word ‘siege,’” he says. “But where exactly is the siege? These are the two houses everyone is talking about. Where is the evidence? Where are the videos showing a siege? A group of Jews standing in an area during an active conflict is not a siege.”

Tubi concludes that the controversy is part of what he describes as a broader information war against Israel. “This is just another propaganda campaign,” he says, arguing that the target is not merely Jewish residents of the area, but Israel and Jews around the world.
