Israeli defense giant Elbit Systems announced Tuesday that it has signed contracts worth approximately $270 million with an international customer to supply advanced surveillance, intelligence-gathering and targeting systems. The contracts will be carried out over a period of up to six years.
Under the agreements, Elbit will provide systems from its SPECTRO family, which combines advanced electro-optical sensors with long-range intelligence and targeting capabilities for air, sea and ground operations.
The systems incorporate infrared and visible-light sensors, advanced laser technology and AI-powered analytics, allowing forces to conduct surveillance and identify targets during the day, at night and in difficult weather conditions.
Elbit will also supply its AMPS NG airborne systems, designed for long-range target detection, tracking and precise location in complex operational environments.
Elbit Systems President and CEO Bezhalel “Butzi” Machlis said the company’s technologies are designed to improve situational awareness, intelligence collection and mission effectiveness for modern armed forces.
