The latest U.S. strikes on Iran mark a shift toward significantly broader targets than in previous rounds, Israel’s Channel 12 reported, with dozens of sites already hit.

A senior US official told Channel 12 that, for the first time, the US is striking tankers owned by Iran’s state oil company in the implementation of a new “tanker-for-tanker” policy.

Under this approach, the US will strike an Iranian tanker each time Iran attacks a vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The report added that Tehran has recently begun transferring weapons from the Tehran area to the Strait of Hormuz and President Trump was warned by his military officials that it was time to “mow the lawn.”

Recent US strikes have reportedly focused on Iran’s air‑defense systems, radar installations and anti‑ship cruise‑missile launchers.
