Security teams at Ben Gurion Airport detained six Chareidi “draft evaders” who attempted to leave the country on Wednesday.
“Six passengers who attempted to slip out of the country through Ben Gurion Airport were caught by airport security teams in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3,” an official statement from the Israel Airports Authority said.
“Two of them were caught in Terminal 1 and four others in Terminal 3. The six were transferred to the Population and Immigration Authority, where checks revealed that they were subject to military call-up orders/civilian exit restriction orders preventing them from leaving the country.”
In recent weeks, there has been an increase in the number of Breslover Chassidim being detained while attempting to fly to Uman ahead of Rosh Hashanah. Dozens of passengers have been stopped at Ben Gurion Airport after checks showed that exit restriction orders had been issued against them because they failed to report to military recruitment offices.
Another group of Breslover Chassidim was also detained at the Taba border crossing while attempting to cross into Egypt on their way to Uman.

So, they can’t serve because tzahal environment is too disturbing for their learning and middos. They’d rather go to a goyishe country that is bombed daily by a bigger goyishe country. These are nnot “draft evaders ” in scary quotes, these are “learners” and “charedim “.
Not weighing in, but I haven’t seen anyone disputed that they were not enlisting in the IDF. So by law, they are evading the draft and cannot travel. Why the “quotation marks” in the title?
Bh the Arab passengers safely made their way to Dubai and turkey
