A “Rischa D’Oraisa” gathering was held Wednesday under the leadership of HaGaon HaRav Dov Landau, with thousands of Tiveria residents in attendance.
Following the gathering, the Rosh Yeshiva delivered words of chizuk.
“Baruch Hashem, the Kol Torah resounds everywhere, and particularly here in the city of Tiveria, which in recent years has merited to become home to many hundreds of bnei Torah from all communities and backgrounds.
“Limmud Torah and immersion in Torah is the most exalted thing that exists in the world, and Talmud Torah is equivalent to them all.”
The Rosh Yeshiva continued: “We all know that the Torah world is in a very difficult situation, and the government’s persecution is weighing more heavily from day to day. Every individual Lomeid Torah feels the burden of the decrees.”
HaRav Landau stressed: “We are not dependent on this person or that person, or on one prime minister or another, but solely on the Borei Olam. We all hope and yearn for Him to have mercy on His people, and particularly on the Torah world.”
“And now, as we stand before the Yemei HaDin, it is incumbent upon all of us to increase our Torah learning and good deeds, to arouse rachamei Shamayim so that Hashem will decree good decrees upon us all.
“May it be His will that we be written and sealed for a good life, and that we merit the eternal geulah speedily in our days.”
