GAZA FLOTILLA: Pro-Terror Activists Announce New Mission To Break Israel’s Naval Blockade

Pro-terror activists behind the international “Freedom Flotilla” announced plans to sail toward the Gaza Strip in October in another attempt to challenge Israel’s naval blockade.

The new flotilla is expected to stop at ports in Spain, Portugal and Italy before heading toward Gaza. Organizers say they plan to use the stops to build public support and pressure European governments to take action against Israel, including blocking weapons and energy shipments, ending diplomatic and military cooperation, and imposing sanctions.

Zohar Chamberlain-Regev, a member of the coalition’s steering committee, said the flotilla was being launched because governments had failed to fulfill what the group considers their obligations, and said organizers would use each port to demand support for Palestinians.

The planned voyage follows the “Sumud” flotilla in May, when dozens of vessels sailed from Europe and Turkey in an attempt to violate the Israeli naval blockade. Israeli Navy Shayetet 13 commandos took control of the vessels and brought hundreds of pro-terror activists aboard them to Israel.

The coalition has continued flotilla activity in Europe in recent months, with additional vessels traveling through ports across the continent ahead of the planned October mission.
