A yeshiva bochur was seriously injured early Friday morning after falling from a significant height while working on an air-conditioning unit inside Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Ozer in Bnei Brak.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. as the bochur was helping prepare the bais medrash ahead of the Yamim Noraim. According to reports, he was working to remove an old air-conditioning unit when the unit came loose and he fell from a height of approximately four meters — roughly two stories.
Emergency personnel arriving at the yeshiva found the bochur unconscious and suffering from serious multi-system trauma. Hatzolah, Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah personnel provided emergency treatment at the scene before transporting him to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer.
He was sedated and placed on a ventilator, and his condition was described as serious.
Friends said the accident occurred as he climbed up to work on the air conditioner inside the yeshiva’s bais medrash, when the unit became dislodged.
The public is asked to daven for the complete recovery of Yosef Shimon ben Bas Sheva Esther, b’soch sha’ar cholei Yisroel.
