Security forces led by the Menashe Brigade, Yamam and the Shin Bet completed a complex operation Sunday morning in the Palestinian village of Aqaba in the northern Shomron, on the edge of the Jordan Valley.

During the operation, Yamam and IDF forces arrested 10 Hamas terrorists who were working to establish a terror network in the village and carry out terror attacks against Israeli civilians.

During searches at one of the locations, Yamam forces discovered a rocket without a launcher, which was immediately destroyed.

Following questioning by IDF forces, one of the arrested terrorists revealed the location of a weapons cache containing an M16 rifle and large quantities of explosives intended for the production of explosive devices.

All of the explosives and weapons uncovered during the operation were destroyed at the scene by Border Police bomb disposal experts from the Yehuda and Shomron District.
