Hours after the dramatic ouster of MKs Moshe Gafni and Uri Maklev, Degel HaTorah’s slate for the next Knesset is taking shape.

Degel HaTorah’s slate for the next Knesset is expected to be headed by MK Yaakov Asher. He will be followed by MK Yitzchak Pindrus.

Next will be Moshe Rosenthal, who holds the education portfolio in the Bnei Brak municipality. Rounding out the four will be Yehuda Weissfish, the director of Ichud Bnei HaYeshivos, who is affiliated with Rav Hirsch.

Meanwhile, Agudas Yisrael’s Committee of Eight convened Sunday for a preliminary discussion aimed at honing the agreement with Degel HaTorah ahead of its final signing.

Negotiating teams representing Degel HaTorah and Agudas Yisrael are currently holding a joint meeting, with the goal of signing an agreement very soon — possibly even later today.
