A ROSH HASHANAH MESSAGE FROM YWN: 23 Years — And Still Going, Around The Clock

As we stand on Erev Rosh Hashanah, we at Yeshiva World News are humbled to mark an extraordinary milestone: 23 years of YWN.

Think back for a moment. Where were you 23 years ago?

That is how long YWN has been publishing the news — 24 hours a day, six and a half days a week, never stopping for a second.

For 23 years, through major world events, wars, elections, tragedies, historic moments in Klal Yisroel, Simchos, and everything in between, YWN has been there. Day and night. From New York to Yerushalayim and everywhere in between.

Over those years, we have proven ourselves time and again as the leader in bringing our readers the news that matters to them. With an unparalleled team of reporters in the United States and Israel, backed by editors, photographers, sources and contacts around the world, YWN provides round-the-clock coverage unlike anything else in the Frum media world.

We lead. The rest follow. Those are the facts.

On this Erev Rosh Hashanah, we first and foremost thank the Ribono Shel Olam for the incredible Chesed He has shown us since the founding of YWN, and for allowing a small news website started 23 years ago to grow into a platform that hundreds of thousands of people around the world trust and depend upon every single day.

We thank you — our devoted readers across the globe. You visit YWN throughout the day. You send us tips, photos and videos. You share our stories. You patronize our advertisers. And, most importantly, you have placed your trust in us to bring you the news accurately, quickly and responsibly.

We don’t take that trust for granted.

Twenty-three years is an eternity in the online news business. Websites have come and gone. Social-media platforms have risen and fallen. Technology has transformed the way people consume information. But YWN has continued to grow, adapt and remain where it has always been: at the forefront of breaking news for the Frum community.

None of this happens by itself.

Our deepest thanks go to our incredible team of reporters and editors, our YWN Israel Bureau, our office personnel, social-media editors, photographers, technical staff, sales team, and the many people behind the scenes whose names most readers will never know. News doesn’t operate on a nine-to-five schedule, and neither do they. When a major story breaks at 3:00 in the morning, someone at YWN is awake, working the phones, verifying information, speaking to sources and getting the story to you.

We also thank the thousands upon thousands of advertisers who have supported YWN over the years, our superb sales team, and every reader who patronizes those businesses and clicks on their advertisements.

Yes, we know — sometimes the ads can be annoying. But advertising is what allows YWN to maintain reporters, offices, technology and infrastructure and continue bringing you breaking news 24 hours a day, completely free of charge.

With staff working from multiple locations, including our extensive operation in Israel, YWN remains active around the clock. When news happens, our goal is simple: get the facts, get them right, and get them to our readers as quickly as possible.

We are also tremendously grateful to the more than 175,000 people receiving YWN through our WhatsApp Groups and WhatsApp Status, the more than 120,000+ followers on X, 140,000+ followers on Instagram, and the tens of thousands more following YWN across Facebook and our other platforms.

Together with our website readership, these platforms have transformed YWN into a massive global network connecting Yidden with breaking news every hour of every day.

This past year, unfortunately, brought stories that were extraordinarily difficult to report.

We covered tragedies, terror attacks, wars and heartbreaking losses — stories that we never imagined we would have to publish. Many involved people and families within our own communities. They weren’t distant headlines. They hit painfully close to home.

Reporting these stories is never easy.

We have always tried to approach such moments with the greatest possible sensitivity and care, balancing our responsibility to report the news with our responsibility toward grieving families and communities. We are deeply grateful for the chizzuk, feedback and trust we receive from our readership during those difficult moments.

After 23 years, we remain profoundly grateful for what YWN has become — but we are even more excited about where it is going.

We will continue investing in our reporting, expanding our coverage and embracing new technology while remaining committed to the principles that built YWN in the first place: speed, accuracy, responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to serving Klal Yisroel.

On a personal note, I want to once again thank every single person who reads Yeshiva World News and has helped make YWN the largest Frum news website on the Internet.

Twenty-three years ago, none of us could have imagined where this journey would lead.

We could not have gotten here without you.

As we enter another year together, our greatest hope is that the coming year gives us far more good news to report.

May the Ribono Shel Olam grant all of Klal Yisroel a year filled with prosperity, health, security, safety, Simcha and tremendous Bracha. May those who need a Refuah receive one, may those searching for their Bashert find one, may families waiting for children be blessed, and may there finally be peace for Yidden everywhere.

And above all, may this finally be the year when YWN has the ultimate breaking-news headline — the arrival of Moshiach Tzidkeinu.

Kesiva Vachasima Tova to all!
