The IDF eliminated Islamic Jihad rocket cell commander Mohsen Farid Said Abu Hadaf, who invaded the Kissufim area during the October 7 massacre, in a strike in Khan Younis over the weekend, the IDF announced Tuesday.
Abu Hadaf served as a rocket cell commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror organization. The IDF said that recently he had been advancing terror attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops while systematically violating the ceasefire. He was targeted in order to remove the threat he posed.
The strike is the latest in a series of IDF operations targeting terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre. Earlier this month, the IDF eliminated Muhammad Mahmoud Marshad al-Qadi, a Nukhba company commander who led the invasion of the Sufa military post and participated in holding hostages in Rafah.
Last week, Nukhba terrorist Ismail Ibrahim Darwish Qandil was eliminated in Khan Younis. Qandil invaded Israel on October 7 and took part in the killing of Nahal Brigade commander Col. Yonatan Steinberg HY”D. The IDF has also recently eliminated Hazem Mousa and Razak Suhail Suleiman Abu Shahma, two Nukhba terrorists who invaded the Re’im military base, with Abu Shahma also having served as a bodyguard for Yahya Sinwar.
Other terrorists recently eliminated include Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist Subhi Khader Hashem al-Batarihi, who was involved in planting explosives against IDF troops, and Hamas Nukhba terrorist Ahmad Fouad Khalil Halas, who was also involved in attacks against Israeli forces.
