WATCH IT: British Labour MP Calls For ‘Military Action’ Against Israel In Parliament

A British Labour MP called for “military action” against Israel during a debate in Parliament, while also suggesting that Israel should be disarmed.

Tahir Ali, the Labour MP representing Birmingham Hall Green and Moseley, made the remarks during a parliamentary debate on Gaza.

As Liberal Democrat MP Richard Foord discussed the need for Hamas to disarm and disband, Ali intervened to ask whether Israel should also be disarmed.

“On the issue of disarmament, should we not also be calling for Israel’s disarmament as well, given the atrocities that have been committed?” Ali asked.

Ali then pointed to previous British military interventions in the Middle East before explicitly raising the possibility of taking military action against Israel.

“Previous governments have intervened in the Middle East to take action to [guard against] human rights abuses and protect international trade routes. Isn’t it about time that military action is taken against Israel also?”

Foord rejected the comparison between Israel and Hamas, noting that Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organization and saying it was “not appropriate to draw an equivalence” between the two.

It was not the first time Ali has raised the possibility of British military involvement against Israel. During a parliamentary debate in July 2025, Ali called on the British government to deploy military personnel to protect Palestinians in Gaza while accusing Israel of committing genocide.

  1. It looks like the British Parliament has a bit of an attendance issue. YWN has increased this fellow’s platform from an audience of five people plus a dead dog.
