Security forces partially demolished the home of terrorist Daos Hasson overnight, months after he murdered Yehuda Shmuel Sherman HY”D, drawing sharp criticism from Sherman’s family after part of the structure was left standing.

The operation was carried out using a method known as “Ruach Pratzim,” under which troops demolished interior walls on two floors of the building while another level remained intact.

Yehuda’s father, Yehoshua Sherman, praised the IDF soldiers who participated in the operation but sharply criticized the decision over the extent of the demolition.

Sherman described what took place as a “pretend demolition,” arguing that leaving the structure standing undermines the deterrence intended by demolishing terrorists’ homes.

“This is not how deterrence against terrorism is created; this is how weakness is projected and the next terror attack is encouraged,” Sherman said, demanding that the defense establishment raze the house completely.
