HaGaon HaRav Baruch Dov Povarsky, Rosh Yeshivas Ponavezh, is renowned for his exceptional chavivus for the mitzvah of arba minim, displaying a special level of hiddur in the mitzvah each Sukkos.

Throughout Yom Tov, the Rosh Yeshiva uses numerous exceptionally mehudar esrogim, which are carefully arranged before him on a special table.

The striking sight reflects the concept of “זה קלי ואנוהו” — beautifying and elevating the performance of a mitzvah.

Also davening alongside the Rosh Yeshiva in the special minyan is his son-in-law, HaGaon HaRav Chaim Peretz Berman, one of the Roshei Yeshiva of Ponavezh.
