Israeli security forces have arrested a 25-year-old Arab Israeli suspected of spying for Iran and carrying out missions on behalf of Iranian agents in exchange for money.
The suspect, a resident of Baqa al-Gharbiya, was arrested in recent weeks in a joint operation by the Shin Bet and Israel Police.
Authorities said the suspect allegedly made contact with Iranian operatives and carried out assignments at their direction in exchange for thousands of shekels.
An indictment is expected to be filed Friday in the Haifa District Court.
The arrest is the latest in a series of cases involving alleged Iranian attempts to recruit Israeli citizens to conduct missions inside Israel.
