UPDATE: A preliminary investigation has revealed additional details about this morning’s attempted terrorist infiltration along the Ramim Ridge border.

According to the investigation, troops operating in southern Lebanon came under fire from a terrorist near the border, triggering an exchange of fire in the area. After the terrorist was eliminated, forces discovered his body inside an Israeli enclave beyond the border fence, indicating that he had entered Israeli territory. However, there is currently no indication that he breached the security fence or entered a civilian area.

The terrorist was wearing a Hezbollah military uniform and was found carrying a firearm and a knife. Searches of the area are continuing with drones, special forces, and infantry troops, but no additional suspects or findings have been identified thus far.
