STRAIT OF HORMUZ: Three Tankers Struck, LNG Vessel Catches Fire Off Oman

Three tankers were hit on Tuesday in the Strait of Hormuz, including one LNG tanker that caught fire off the coast of Oman, according to the British military. Iranian state television claimed the gas tanker was attacked after ignoring warnings, but Tehran did not officially take responsibility.

Two other tankers were also struck, including one hit by a drone. No injuries were reported, though at least two of the vessels sustained damage. The attacks come as U.S.-Iran talks remain on hold and after Iran imposed new routing rules for ships moving through the strait.
