SYRIA AGREES: Syria Will Drastically Cut Russian Oil Imports as U.S. Pushes to Remove Terrorism Designation, Report Says

Syria has told the U.S. it is willing to drastically reduce Russian oil imports after Washington made the move a condition for removing Syria from the State Department’s list of state sponsors of terrorism, Reuters reported.

Two sources said the U.S. requested the reduction and Damascus agreed. Syria remains heavily dependent on Russian crude, but officials have been exploring alternative supplies from the U.S. and regional producers.
