A Gulf official told CNN there is a “50-50” chance that the U.S. and Iran will reach a provisional agreement on Friday.

The official said Iran’s delegation does not include representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, whose approval would ultimately be required for the details of any provisional deal.
