The FAA is investigating an air traffic safety incident involving President Trump’s Marine One helicopter and a departing Envoy Air passenger jet near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, CNN reports.
The incident occurred after Marine One departed the Ellipse on August 4 while commercial departures continued because air traffic controllers did not halt departing flights as required. The FAA said it did not appear to be a dangerous close call, and video shows the two aircraft were not in close proximity.
