Two pilots were killed Wednesday afternoon when an Apache military helicopter from Fort Hood crashed in a field in Central Texas, according to the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.
The helicopter went down at approximately 1:35 p.m. local time, sparking a large, uncontrolled wildfire at the crash site. Crews responded to battle the blaze.
