President Trump announced Wednesday that he has selected Dr. Heidi Overton, a physician and deputy director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, to lead the Food and Drug Administration. Overton, who has played a significant role in the administration’s health initiatives, must first be confirmed by the Senate.
