Peru announced Wednesday morning that it is severing diplomatic relations with Iran, accusing Tehran of fueling the escalation of conflicts throughout the Middle East.
Peru’s Foreign Ministry also cited Iranian interference with maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz in explaining the decision.
