Business owners in Chareidi neighborhoods of Ashdod are reporting thousands of shekels in losses amid a wave of counterfeit 200-shekel bills being passed at local stores.
Young people are suspected of using the fake notes to purchase clothing, shoes and food, sometimes receiving genuine cash as change after paying with the counterfeit bills.
