NATO DIVISIONS: Trump Administration Excludes UK, France And Baltic States From Pentagon Group Examining Alliance’s Future

The Trump administration is excluding several major NATO allies, including the UK, France and the Baltic states, from a Pentagon-led working group examining the alliance’s future, according to POLITICO.

The “Bergen Group,” led by Pentagon policy chief Elbridge Colby, currently includes the U.S., Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Germany and the Netherlands. Excluded allies say the criteria remain unclear and are concerned Washington is creating divisions within NATO.
