Tri-State: Rainy Monday, Another Storm Possible Thursday

Rain is hammering much of the tri-state, just as many parts of the area are still digging out from the weekend snowstorm.

After an early wintry mix Monday morning, conditions have now changed over to rain.

Rain showers will continue through Monday afternoon. With highs today reaching into the mid to upper 40s, the rain along with the melting snow already on the ground will create a lot of slushy puddles and some ponding of water.

Most puddles will likely freeze overnight, especially in the distant suburbs as temperatures dip into the 20s and low 30s.

Another storm has the potential to affect coastal areas Thursday morning, with the possibility of moderate snowfall.

Temperatures are expected to drop by the weekend and a coastal storm may be on the way Saturday night into Sunday.
