A Letter From R’ Shaya Levin on the Upcoming 10K Event:

It is with a tremendous feeling of hakoras hatov to HKB”H that we invite everyone to the inaugural 10K Batay Yisroel event which will take place Pesach Sheni May 19th at 6:30PM to be held at Ateres Chynka,  129 Elmwood Avenue in Brooklyn. It will be a unique evening of inspiration and chizzuk featuring  two exceptional speakers. We are honored to present Rabbi Ephraim Eliyahu Shapiro and Rabbi Moshe Tuvia Lieff who have consented to grace our event with timely words of hashkofa and kedusha as they relate to shidduchim.  The event is timed to commemorate the first yahrtzeit of my son Yisroel Levin A”H and his Kallah Elisheva Basya Kaplan A”H whose untimely petiras led to the formation of 10KBatayYisroel.org.  My mechutan R’ Joel Kaplan and myself will also share our personal perspectives which binds us to each other and to 10K Batay Yisroel.

10KBatayYisroel.org started during the week of shiva and it has experienced tremendous Siyata D’Shmaya in its first year of growth. If you visit the website now you will see that there is over 7,000 shidduch suggestions that have been registered on our site resulting in over 1,000 first dates and producing over 50 engagements! We are averaging almost one shidduch every week. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There is tremendous potential to expand these numbers dramatically if we just have the opportunity to spread the word and introduce more and more Yiddin to our project. By Klal Yisroel joining us at our evening of inspiration it will give us the encouragement to keep giving it our all for the benefit of all the singles in Klal Yisroel.

We specifically timed the event to start at a time which assures all those who attend that they will get home at a reasonable hour. Please take this as a personal invitation from 10KBatayYisroel.org to come join us for this very special evening . We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak to you personally and hear your feedback at the end of the event.

Looking very forward to greeting you at the event.

Shaya Levin
