I’ve heard many times from my teacher, my father-in-law Sar HaTorah zt”l in the week of Parshas Mattos- Masei, a proven segula and an assured yeshua – when they’re reading in the Torah about ותהיינה בנות צלפחד לנשים-“And the daughters of Tzelofchod became [married] women”- and it’s brought in the Gemara that the youngest among them was forty years old- that the time of the reading is a favorable time to daven and to be answered for shidduchim for older girls, and the reading awakens the time that -ותהיינה…לנשים will be fulfilled in them, according to the Mishna Berura, that when they read the parasha in the Torah it’s as though it’s currently being given from Har Sinai, and he would encourage that this be publicized to the older girls, and he said that it’s a proven segulah for a assured yeshua soon, as it’s said in the Torah explicitly -ותהיינה…לנשים about older girls – and apparently it’s also a segula for older boys, as it’s brought in the Torah that they married their cousins- but this I didn’t hear.
