BM Central Jersey: Parlor meeting

BMOCJ06poster.jpg

Since its inception, Bais Medrash of Central Jersey, under the leadership of its esteemed Rosh Yeshivah, Rav Yosef Dovid Korbman, shlita, has distinguished itself as one of the foremost mekomos haTorah on the yeshiva landscape.

Rav Korbman had a vision. He knew that in order to mold a talmid into a true ben Torah and yorei shomayim, the bochur’s own unique kochos have to be nurtured in an environment that is permeated with striving for gadlus in Torah. Rav Korbman envisioned a setting where talmidim could exercise their innate abilities, and where they could flourish and grow to their fullest potential under skillful guidance.

I myself have witnessed the tremendous hasmada and pilpul chaveirim in the yeshiva. Speaking to bochurim from the yeshiva quite frequently, I witness the high standards of learning and the spirited atmosphere of the yeshiva. The bochurim and yungeleit learn in an environment that is imbued with the highest standards in limud haTorah. There is a healthy symbiosis between the yeshiva and the kollel contributing to the overall spirit of the yeshiva. The bochurim learn together with the yungeleit and benefit greatly from it

Bais Medrash of Central Jersey has garnered the respect and admiration of Roshei Yeshivos and talmidei chachomim from across the globe, and has created a sterling reputation for its exemplary ideals of limud haTorah, lomdus, yedios, and yiras Shomayim. It is therefore fitting for members of the community to band together in support of this Torah institution.

The Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yosef Dovid, has a personal relationship with each and every bochur. His boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm carries over to the talmidim, who gain a geshmak in their limudim in the upbeat environs of the yeshiva. The relationship that is forged between a talmid and the Rosh Yeshiva contributes greatly to the hatzlacha of the members of the yeshiva.

On Motzoei Shabbos Parshas Vayigash, December 30, at 8:30 p.m. the yeshiva will be holding its annual Lakewood Parlor Meeting at my home, 1906 New Central Ave. The melava malka will be graced with the presence of the Telzer Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yitzchok Sorotzkin, and the Lakewood Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yeruchom Olshin. The event will recognize the invaluable contributions the yeshiva and its Rosh Yeshiva have made to the Lakewood community and the Torah world at large.

I look forward to greeting you personally,

                                                                                            Shloime Lewenstein
