The Shurat HaDin organization is calling for the cancellation of the appointment of Prof. Gabriella Shalev as Israel�s new ambassador to the United Nations.

According to officials in Shurat HaDin, Shalev is a founding member of the left-wing B�tselem human rights organization and is therefore unable to defend Israel�s position vis-�-vis the Palestinian Authority. Shurat HaDin adds Shalev lacks the political experience and insight for the post.
