Do you think it would be possible to make it so a user can remove any of his posts at any time regardless of how long it's been since it was posted.Shticky Guy
...Onegoal thats an interesting idea but think how weird threads would look with posts missing then subsequent replies to those posts would not make sense. Instead, be aware that once you send a post you have no further control over it (after the edit period elapses) so - mussar haskel - consider what you write carefully before sending it.
Shticky, you are right that threads will look funny, however, MANY threads are already hard to read because Mods deleted posts. I think there should be an [edited] tag to threads that had posts removed so that people will understand why the thread looks so weird.
Also, if onegoal's idea would be set in place, when one removes his/her post, instead of deleting the entire post it should be replaced by Post Deleted by <User's Name>. The same should apply when a mod removes a post. It should show that the user posted something and it was removed. This way people can see why it doesn't make sense.
I do like onegoal's idea!
Still Waiting™
NOW FIVE HOURS!!!!!
!!!!!!
SiDi™
Mods, can we get a response?
SiDi™
I have to say, I'm not interested in posting things people posted 5 minutes before me.
I have yet to hear
ONE COGENT REASON
as to why
a simple reporting system
is not being
UTILIZED??
Brony, don't hold your breath waiting for a response. Its useless. THEY DON'T RESPOND. And when they actually do respond, its some stupid comment.
I'm still waiting for a response to a number of problems. And here's another one. Why, recently, has some of my post not been posted? Simple, non-controversial posts just deleted for no apparent reason. A response would be menchlich.
If you are not interested in responding on the CR, feel free to e-mail me. I would love to hear from you! (Especially the "Key Master!!)
SiDi™
Sorry dudes, we don't always have time to respond to questions. We just don't.
If you want to know why posts weren't approved, read the rules.
!!!!!!!!
Get a Mod in EY, and that might help things!
SiDi™
Hello!
5 -- FIVE hours!
?
mods have you overslept??? how come this place hasn't been updated in like, forever?
Sorry there was a problem with the site and it wouldn't let me approve any posts. It seems to be fixed now. Mod.
Should I repeat myself?:
!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!! hours later!
And still waiting for my post from !!!!!!!!!!!!!! hours ago to be posted. AND responded to!
SiDi™
Mods!! Thanks for everything! I know you peoples must have a very hard job! (Especially when dealing with characters like me...)
SiDi™
SIDI: I don't find your complaining on this thread and site very attractive either. That's the way it is; it's a moderated site, and the commenting sometimes is slow. And most of us are only here because it is moderated.
Thanx for saying it for me.
PBA and Mods: I'm sorry! I will work on savlanus!
SiDi™
who keeps screaming? you're waking me up!
They were shouting quietly.
Oh no! Mod 72 was tired so he went to sleep. You woke him up and now he's retired
This doesnt have to be "the way it is". Most of us are here because it takes so long to moderate and when we come back to see if there is a response it takes forever for it to appear so were still waiting. And commenting is not sometimes slow its always slow. And just because some people are here because its moderated doesnt mean it cant be improved.
Mods I think you should only accept posts via regular mail then posters will be happy when their comments appear within the new time limit of 7 to 10 working days!
"We’re not going to post hateful, hurtful, vicious comments no matter how right you may think you are."
Ya right.
If i'm not mistaken the mods use the bold letters. But cant posters do that too? So its kind of confusing. Also why cant the mods use a seperate post to post their response. Its looks kind of intruding in my opinion.
"We’re not going to post hateful, hurtful, vicious comments no matter how right you may think you are."
Ya right.

Mincha time...see ya soon
SiDi™

Marriv time...see ya soon

SiDi, since Goq joined our team, he's really doing a great job.
Thanks for modding Mod-20 and Mod-Goq!
RGB™
Mods, thank you for deleting that MO vs Chareidim thread.
20: Mod Goq™ is the Master! But if I joined the team, I would be able to fill in when you people are sleeping!

Mods never sleep.
So why did a M-d write this on my post (top of this page):
1. You're welcome
2. Sheesh! It eas the middle of the night!
??!!
SiDi™
Maybe the overtired, overworked, underpaid Mod at command slightly became slighted with the tone used. Only a speculation.
Ty mod 20!
ty Sidi and moski its not as easy as you think it took a whole lot of training but im glad i made it!
Pretty quiet day for the mod squad today not too many rejected posts lets keep it up people!
I would like to thank the Mod-on-Duty for his super-fast modding!
Where can I send my token of appreciation to? (I may still have one or two somewhere from pre-MetroCard times I can send you!!!)
SiDi™
Mods: I want to post a very lengthy translation of some meforshim. They weren't approved a few days ago, since it was too long. Is there anyone who could approve it if I repost it?
Thank You
The tediously slow pace of some otherwise good Torah conversations is frustrating for a number of reasons. Since the mods are obviously not here full time, but want to mod at the same time, can we have some kind of system where during these times established legitimate members dont need to be modded unless someone flags their comment, when it is sent back to the mods for confirmation? And can you please set a specific length for "too lengthy" posts? Anybody else with good suggestions?
These great suggestion require a programmer to implement them. It costs time and money.
Modding takes time=money too.
So what do you mods think of the idea on the top of the page? (The device I'm on stinks at copying and pasting) I like it!
Thank you for closing the "What's your proof?" thread.
Hello Moderators,
I hope you have a Good Shabbos! I had a a potentially silly but perhaps creative suggestion for the category "Controversial Topics"...perhaps it could be subtitled "The Stir" (with a play on the fact that you stir your coffee, or at least you do if you add cream and sugar!). Just a thought, sorry if it was stupid.
Thanks for taking care of what needed to be taken care of.
G@W
Request that my last post in the closed thread be approved. I don't want people to think that I personally hold that everyone on the Moetzes is not a Talmid Chochom or Raui L'Horos.
Thank you.
A question if you don't mind: Why the subtitle change (I like this one better, I think)?
I thought it was funnier
YW Moderator-73: Fair enough.
I thought it was funnier
I agree.
I don't agree with defending truthsharer. You can't defend bizui talmidei chachomim by claiming they're not talmidei chachomim. That just compounds the avlah.
how about a subtitle for myself, Mods?
or am I too new in the room?
thanks a lot.
you are a bit new. but we'll think of one for you soon enough.
You must log in to post.
