Supposedly there is a segula for the voluntary eviction of these pests, one simply obtains (or downloads) a picture of R’ Yeshayaleh and place him on the wall, it supposedly works for rats and mice.

It really works. My boss gave me a picture to put in my kitchen after I saw a mouse there and that was the last I saw of it (or his friends)
I don’t think you should be referring to him as such. He was a great Tzadik. Actually this segulah came about through his great humility. Someone was complaining about the infestation of mice in his house(?), so this tzadik advised him to hang a picture of himself there. “Even the mice are afraid of him”, is what he said. Since HaShem listens to the words of a tzadik, that segulah holds true till today. Words of a Tzadik are indeed powerful.
Where would you go about finding such a picture? (B”H we have no rats OR mice, but we did have, once upon a time when major construction was being done next door to us). Sounds like a scarecrow, l’havdil.
Some seforim stores have them. Maybe search on-line.
It’s very sad that the memory of such a great Tzaddik is being degraded, abused and shamed in this way.

If anyone in CR Land has real, solid, biographical info on this Rav (I have some info, but not enough for an authoritative post that will do justice and be totally accurate) I would very much appreciate if they’d let us all know exactly who this Tzaddik was.
golfer, There are books out there, aplenty, in English too. I read one, can’t recall which, though I don’t think it was a book entirely about this great Tzaddik. Rather a biography of a few giant of the past.
I wrote that objection earlier, I guess mods don’t take anything I write seriously. Can’t blame them. (?? ????? ?? ???? ?????? ???? ??? ??? ?????? ??)

I once had an issue with mice and I put up a picture of him. Unfortunately, my computer mouse stopped working as well.
funnybone, you don’t know how to repeat that one. It’s supposed to be – as you finished scanning the photo into the computer…
