So I have a few questions on this topic-

    1) How do you achieve REAL Emunah? I’m talking about unbreakable Emunah, that no matter what happens, you’re okay because you truly have real Emunah.

    2) Does having real Emunah mean never being upset when something “bad” happens? Or is it okay to be upset for a little while?

    3) How do you come to truly realize that HaShem really runs the world down to the smallest details*? That everything truly happens for a reason?

*I know & I believe that HaShem runs the world, but how do you truly feel this way? How do you give over the “control” to Him.

*If anybody has ever read the Garden of Emunah & can tell me if it actually has helped them/was a good read that’d be great. Thanks.

    1) don’t know how old you are, but being a teen, I know Hashem TOTALLY doesnt expect me to reach thst level so quickly! Hashem only expects stuff you can do, that type of emunah is pretty high. Everyone falls too, you are totally not expected to have unbreakable emunah in my opinion…

You have to work up to it, just explaining to yourself that Hashem is there, give him control…it takes time, patience, and lots of work!

    2) As human beings we are granted the ability to feel. We are supposed to be upset at times, in normal circumstances where most people would. When someone dies you are supposed to be sad. But there is an up to a point type of thing. Just like with mourning a person that the torah has rules on. We were just talking about reactions in my phsycology class today. Part of accepting something has happened is feeling it, even if for a split second. You tell yourself, “okay ______ happened. So I feel _______. That is ok, it is normal. Calm down. Let yourself feel it, then tell yourself why you should let go of the feeling and how how to accept it. You then tell how hashem is really in charge

    3) Again, time patience, and work. No magic pill, I am sorry.

*You just do, just let go, it happens sometimes that you cant anymore and then you just realize its HASHEM, and you give it all over.

    * My friends recommend it, never was able to read mussar books

Check out the book “The Garden of Emunah” by Rabbi Shalom Arush. It can be bought on Amazon or in any Jewish bookstore.Translated into several languages.

    1. G-d is real.

    2. He has total control of every future.

    3. Everything that goes wrong is meant to go wrong and you have to fix it.

    4. Give to charity when you can and even when you can’t. Torah is not about losing your sleep on your mistakes.

    5. Do not give up because you are not in better spirit. The future is you becoming a better servant of Hashem.

    6. Emunah is not hating the future. But very nervous people can ask the right questions. Pray and expect the results to be based on the Shemonei Esrei appied.

    7. Do not mistake a bad day as a poor reason to live. The future will teach you what you did wrong and who you are.

    8. A good teacher is more than a bad reason to live. Think of anyone you can and what they would tell you to do if you are not getting results. There is a G-d. Everyone you met in your life was there for a reason.

    9. Torah is perfect. It is the only way you will find your place in Israel. If you do not read the Tanakh daily, you are not strong enough to get further in your studies. G-d is real and expects us to act and strive for the best we can become.

    10. Israel is blessed. You are jewish. You are going to be ok. The young mind is a trial. Every day you will be tested. Be good. Hashem is not going to let you crash forever. But if you are so cursed, go to Torah, figure out what you did wrong, fix it and smile. G-d is not a friend to forget.
