Where do the words to this beautiful niggun come from? Does anyone know? Leave it to Yossi Green to find them. He is a wonderful composer!

From Yalkut Shimoni. The words were publicized by the Lubavitcher Rebbe ZYA during the Gulf War.

Because it ruins the flow of the song. That’s what I would guess, try it you’ll see what I mean.

It also leaves out “aleichem”, as in “aleichem bilvad”.

I guess this is how the song “works”; it’s not intended to be a perfectly faithful reproduction of the Chazal.

What’s the translation of the song?

    Anovim lyrics: (not my translation)

At the hour that the king moshiach comes, stands on the roof of the beis hamikdosh (holy temple) and he announces to Israel and says:

Anovim anovim, (modest ones) the time of your redemption has come, and if you dont believe, see my light that shines.
