Just saying, I told you so. If you keep up with YWN threads for long enough, you can feel when one is about to be closed; it’s one of the perks of being a long time Coffee Room reader. You don’t have to have an actual mathematical model, but you can just feel it.

You said seven posts to closing. I didn’t count but it was more like 50 more.

Hey, newbee and mdd: This is our backdoor opportunity to continue our machlokes from the closed thread. Let’s not let this opportunity pass without taking full advantage of it!!

    L’sheim Shamayim, of course.

(Watch as Syag takes this seriously and two years from now links to this thread to prove I’m a baal machlokes. That’s the funnest part!)

So there was a little margin of error… big deal. Also, my next prophetic prediction is that if people keep using this thread to ask mods why their posts have been taken down, it too will be closed.

    #1151151

No harm in asking, the problem is in expecting an answer.

I can’t speak for the last thread but often the closing is due to what you don’t see and not what you do.

In that case, why not simply not approve (or take down) problematic posts and let the thread go on.

Because then you would never get to say anything

    I crack myself up

Neville, where was your prediction? I must have missed it. (I never know if I should take those predictions as endorsements or challenges)

You’re all wrong.. it’s whenever I pop in my .5 cents of sense, that it gets <DELETED> or [closed].

    Take this one, for exam<<ZAP>>
