Chareidim Protest Incarceration Of A Female By IDF Authorities

Hundreds of chareidim took part in a protest on Wednesday night outside IDF Prison 4 over the arrest of Rivka bas Kaasi, an Ethiopian chareidi girl. She was imprisoned by the IDF last month.

Protest leaders explained that military authorities simply are unwilling to view her as being exempt from duty as she is a frum woman. They add the Yaffo Military Court has instructed the appropriate IDF committee to reconvene and reconsider her declaration that she maintains a frum lifestyle, but the court’s instructions have been ignored to date, and the committee hasn’t reconvened.

Rabbonim taking part in the protest warned of the dangers facing the frum community as today, the IDF is arresting frum woman who are truly maintaining a religious lifestyle simply because they can.

During the protest, some of the participants broke into the Tzrifin base next to Prison 4 and they were dispersed by police.

  1. What an outrage! It simply defies belief. That Chareidim dare protest any action or decision of the LGBT army.
