NYPD Looking For Two Men In Jewelry Heist In Diamond District

The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance identifying the suspects wanted for the armed robbery which took place in the Diamond District on Tuesday afternoon. The following are the details:

On Tuesday at approximately 2:29PM, Suspect #1, posing as a delivery man, was buzzed into the Watch Standard Jewelry store located on the eighth floor of 23 West 47th Street while Suspect #2 stood outside as a lookout. Once inside, Suspect #1, armed with a gun, demanded the property from a safe that was open inside the location. The four employees inside the location were complying when a fifth employee, a 56-year-old man, walked in. Suspect #1 hit the employee with the gun causing a minor laceration to his head. The suspects then fled the location with an undetermined amount of jewelry, watches and money.

Suspect #1 is a male black, approximately 6 feet tall, 40-50 years of age wearing a dark trench coat, light colored slacks and tweed colored Kangol hat.

Suspect #2 is described as a male black, tall 30-40 years of age wearing a red baseball cap, True Religion jeans, black zipper hoodie, black sneakers.
