A deck loaded with children collapsed in Monsey, Tuesday afternoon.
Sources tell YWN that around 40 children were on the rear deck at a home on Lindeman Lane at around 3:00PM, when it suddenly collapsed.
Rockland Hatzolah was on scene in seconds with a large response – expecting to find numerous children injured. Bichasdei Hashem, only two children suffered minor injuries.
They were transported to Nyack Hospital by Hatzolah.
The cause of the collapse was being investigated.

decks must be structurally design and not put up hap hazard. People over load them and putting too much weight for which they were design for. Need adequate supports and risers. Just seeing the pictures does not show adequate fixing to the house.

Taking out zero from 40 equals 4. I am a neighbor and there were approximately 3-4 children on the porch.
I know the home and family personally – there were 5 kids on the porch the rest were in the backyard – the porch is quite old and collapsed not because of the kids
