Arab MK Vows the Struggle Will Continue

jamArab MK Dr. Jamal Zahalka vows the struggle for al-Aqsa will continue, announcing there will be a general strike in the entire Arab sector on Tuesday, 30 Tishrei including all businesses and schools.

Zahalka explains he and his colleagues demand a total cessation of visits to Har Habayis by “right-wing provocateurs”, calling for the elimination of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s directive barring all Members of Knesset and cabinet ministers from visiting the holy site. While Zahalka and other Arab MKs last week announced they would defy the PM’s order on Sunday morning 28 Tishrei, ultimately they did not visit the site.

Zahalka announced there will also be major protests on Tuesday held in the Israeli Arab municipality of Sakhnin. Regarding widespread Islamic violence, Zahalka accuses Prime Minister Netanyahu of “spilling oil on the fire instead of trying to extinguish the flames”.
