EU Moves Ahead with Anti-Settlement Product Labeling

palDespite Israeli objections, the European Union is moving ahead with its new policy that compels marking items originating in yishuvim to be labeled as being manufactured in the “West Bank”. The exact guidelines for the new policy are to be announced on November 11, 2015.

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotevely is planning to travel to Europe this week to hold official meetings ahead of the EU announcing its guidelines. She plans to continue lobbying against the new program, which Israel views as handing a prize to Israel’s enemies.

The move will likely fuel the growing fires of anti-Semitism in many European nations.

  1. This will not fuel the fire of anti-Semitism. The fire of anti-Semitism is already huge enough and therefore the Europeans are doing this.

The Europeans didn’t change miraculously after WW2. Part of the their genetic makeup is anti-Semitism.

And they are not doing this because they care about the Palestinians either. Palestinians will also suffer lose of jobs if this measure goes through. It is purely anti-Semitism that is causing them to take measures that will hurt the people living on the yishuvim and surrounding areas.

  2. Meanwhile, it isn’t the Jews trampling through the borders of European countries by the hundreds of thousands spreading crime, disease, and poverty. There is no sane answer to this except the old adage of anti-Semitism. They say we frequent the cry of anti-Semitism too much, but they have yet to put their ugly behavior to rest. The Europeans are no friends of ours.

  3. What will it take for the stupid eu to realise that instead of wasting it’s time bashing the only democracy in the middle east it shld deal with the real problem facing Europe, the massive and rapidly expanding moslem population. What worries me as an EU citizen is that even after the attacks in France – regardless of what all the politicians said at the time- nothing has been done to cracking down on radical moslems
