nepThe following is via OnlySimchas.com:

The New England Patriots football team will observe a minute of silence before its game overnight Monday against the Buffalo Bills, in memory of Ezra Schwartz, a native of Sharon, Massachusetts, who was killed in a terror attack in the West Bank on Thursday.

Schwartz was laid to rest in his hometown on Sunday.

Schwartz was a huge fan of the New England Patriots from his home state of Massachusetts.

  1. The P.C. Police were at it again. They didn’t mention that he was killed in Israel and they lumped him in as if he was one of the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks. Unless you were aware of the fact that Paris didn’t happen ” this past Thursday” and you knew that Israel is “some 5,000 miles away” his story got swept under the rug. Regardless, thank you Mr. Kraft for memorializing Ezra at your game.

  2. For those for receive the ‘short vort’ the initial comments were holier than thou insensitive to both the Schwartz family and the courage if the Kraft family and simply unnecessary
What a divisive one upsmanship at a time when klal Yisrael should be united . It’s no chachma to pony out the short comings if s moment of silence but in the context if tens of millions of viewers and Ezra zl devotion to the patriots it was highly offensive
An apology is in order to us all
