French President Says Terrorist Threat Is at Highest Level

terFrench President Francois Hollande has told the nation that the terrorist threat is still at its “highest level.”

In his traditional New Year’s Eve speech, Hollande said: “We just lived a terrible year.”

That year included the January attacks against the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and a kosher supermarket to November 13 attacks that left 130 dead in Paris.

Hollande added: “The threat is still there … We often thwart attacks”.

The Socialist president called again on a constitution change to revoke citizenship of convicted terrorists born in France who have dual nationality.

Hollande said “2015 has been a year of suffering and resistance, let’s make from 2016 a year of courage and hope.”
