BDE: The Wounded Border Policewoman Dies of Massive Injuries

tHospital officials report that despite herculean efforts by EMS and trauma unit personnel, the border policewoman gravely wounded by the terrorist at Shar Shechem has died of her injuries, HY”D. Her name is Hadar Cohen, of Or Yehuda.

The terrorist’s knife slashed a major artery, which led to her going into traumatic cardiac arrest almost immediately.

The medical team continues efforts on the second wounded border policewoman, whose condition has stabilized somewhat, now listed in moderate-to-serious condition.

Police Commissioner Roni Alsheich arrived at the scene of the attack and he was briefed by the Jerusalem Police Chief. Mayor Nir Barkat also arrived at the scene and was briefed by senior police commanders.

Two of the improvised explosives carried by the terrorists were detonated under controlled condition at the attack scene. The terrorists were from Jenin and Kabatya in the northern Shomron. Based on the photo of their PA (Palestinian Authority) identity cards, they were born in 1995 and 1996.

Police are reviewing area surveillance cameras from Shar Shechem as the area was hermitically closed down. Forensic experts were operating at the scene to piece together the events as they occurred.

Police and the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) are also working in other areas as they are confident others assisted the terrorists and the manhunt for those persons is underway. The operating premise is the three did not operate alone, in a vacuum, but this was a well-organized attack that received funding and assistance.

No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack at the time of this report.

Officials at Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital now add that the wounded officer, 19-year-old Hadar Cohen HY”D, arrived with a grave gunshot injury to her head, adding “she simply did not have a chance”.

Security authorities add that despite her injuries, she managed to fire at the terrorist prior to collapsing. יהי זכרה ברוך

  1. My gosh! Hashem, please no more blood shed of our precious souls. 19 years old! 19 years old!
Baruch dayan HaEmett. Hashem yikom damam.

  2. BDE. She looked so young and sweet. What a tragedy. Can we have the name of the other so we can be mispallel for her?

Will we hear a peep out of that little twit, Dan Shapiro, who encouraged these kinds of attacks with his flammatory comments, or did the Kenyan order him to keep his mouth shut?!

  3. 19 years old! To lay down your life in defense of your brothers and sisters, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

I am growing tired of animals that use their religion as an excuse to do harm to others.

As long as we remain “civilized societies” there is no way to win this war of ideology.

  4. A few wars ago the idea came into my head that the more kavana we put into saying “Amen, yehei Shmei Rabba …” can only help that it shouldn’t have to be said later at levayas and Kaddish Yasom. In the last few months there came to me a possible explanation for this, that Hashem, כביכול, wants and has pleasure from our kavanas, and He knows that people generally have the best kavanas at levayas (since they see and feel more vividly what life leads to, and they want to help the niftar), so if we can give Him that kind of kavana at other times, maybe He wouldn’t want to make more levayas. Of course we can’t know His chesbonos and what I’m saying is only speculation, but it surely can’t hurt. But try to say each “Amen, yehei Shmei Rabba with the kind of kavana that’s appropriate for a levaya.

Another important point: the name of Avraham Avinu’s mother — Amaslai bas Karnavo — is said to be a protection in situations of danger. It’s worth saying it anytime you don’t have anything else to do (and it may be said even in an unclean place), who knows if some Jew might need protection somewhere just at that point, or even if you yourself might need it.

  5. These tragedies are happening almost everyday
when will people wake up and start seeing that god is sending a clear message to his nation ” Am Yisrael”

    WAKE UP JEWS!!!

    so what does god want???

i dont know but i hope we will all figure it out soon so we can end this wave of sufferings.
